About Office Concepts
History 2009
Office Concepts was founded in 1938. The Company has undergone many changes in its 71 year history. One thing, however, has remained constant through the years, Office Concepts’ unwavering commitment to quality, its Associates, its Customers and the Community.

Office Concepts began as an office machine sales and service organization. As we grew, we concentrated on ways to better partner with our valuable customers in serving their needs.

Office Concepts responded to the knowledge and experience gained by observing and helping people at work and became a Steelcase dealership in 1960. Today, through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, Office Concepts has become Chicago largest Steelcase Dealership and among Steelcase’s top dealers nationally. Dedicated to our customers and committed to providing consultative knowledge, superior products, and comprehensive services, we provide workspace solutions, quality manufacturers, and local as well as national service support capabilities to help customers achieve their business goals.

In response to ever changing facility needs, Office Concepts has developed three divisions to focus on unique market segments. In 2001 the Company formed a specialized Healthcare Division with experienced healthcare professionals trained in Healthcare protocol and familiar with the healing environment.  In 2006 Higher Education, Federal and State and Local Government divisions were established.
